Questions, answered.
How much does MyMory cost?
$4.99, paid once on the App Store. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, no credits and no watermark. Every capture mode is included.
Does MyMory work offline?
Yes. Capturing, building the 3D model and scanning paper all happen on your iPhone. The app contains no code that talks to a server, so it works in airplane mode and your captures never leave your device unless you share them.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Open the app and start capturing.
Which iPhones does it work on?
MyMory needs iOS 18 or later. Paper scanning works on any iPhone that runs it. Object and Scene capture use Apple's Object Capture, which needs an iPhone Pro with LiDAR (iPhone 12 Pro or later Pro model).
What file formats do I get?
Objects and scenes are USDZ 3D models that open in AR Quick Look, Keynote, Reality Composer and most 3D tools. Documents export as PDF; photos, postcards and Polaroids as images, both sides kept.
Where are my files stored?
In a MyMory folder you can see in the Files app. You can point it at an iCloud Drive folder in Settings if you want iOS to sync it.
Is MyMory a measuring app?
No. It makes photoreal copies of things and places so you can keep them. For measurements, use a dedicated tool.
Is MyMory on iPad or Android?
Not at the moment. MyMory is made for iPhone.
Which languages is the app in?
English.
Can I use my 3D models for 3D printing?
MyMory exports USDZ. Many 3D tools can open it and convert it to STL or OBJ for printing, but MyMory is made for keeping memories, not for engineering-grade prints.
Can I view my 3D models in AR?
Yes. Any object or scene opens in AR Quick Look, so you can place it back in the room at its real size.
Can I search my library?
Yes, by name, tag, note, and text recognized in scanned paper.
Is there a Mac app?
Yes: MyMory: Photogrammetry on the Mac App Store builds 3D models from photos or video. On iPhone, Capture for Mac takes the photos and you send them to your Mac for large or intricate subjects.
What happens to my data?
Nothing leaves your iPhone unless you share it. There is no account, no analytics and no server. See the privacy policy.
What should I scan first?
Something you're ready to let go of but don't want to forget: a child's drawing, a souvenir, a pair of worn shoes, a corner of the place you're leaving.
